Master Clock Repair often buys clocks from customers who no longer want them.  We also periodically buy collections of clocks from those who used to repair them professionally or as a hobby.  Many of these clocks need a great deal of work to prepare them for resale.  We do our best to make them both attractive and functional and yet keep the cost of the clocks in an affordable price range for our customers.  Many of the clocks come with new clock guarantees.  The guarantee often depends on the type of work necessary to make them functional again.  See the descriptions below for specific guarantee information on each clock.

Most people who sell antique clocks perform the least possible repair in order to make the clock functional.  We will not do this.  If the description states that the clock has been restored by us you can count on the fact that we gave it the same attention we give all of our restorations.  We don't just clean it, slap a couple bushings in it and call it done.

This beautiful clock is brand new.  It has "cut glass" gear centers instead of spoked gearing and is driven by a mainspring moderated by the fusee system.  The purpose of a fusee is to create a more even transfer of power to the clock's gearing throughout the entire wind.  Mainsprings often exert more power on the gear train when fully wound and less power as the clock runs out.  This un-eveness can cause some mechanical clocks to gain time at the beginning of a wind and lose time at the end.  Clock comes with a wooden base with drawer and a glass enclosure (not shown) with front door.

This clock was made in China.  Overall the quality is very good and often gets several looks from any customer coming into the shop.   The plates are very thick and workmanship throughout is very nice.  The brass framed enclosure does have some minor blemishes. 

A similar clock made in England, France or Germany would cost over $5000.  Here is your chance to obtain a very beautiful clock that is also a wonderful display piece and work of art.
